At lunchtime, Horuda hanged out with Umeji and the other delinquents by the incinerator area. She and Umeji became friends after he defended her from Musume and her friends. Horuda sympathized with Umeji and his friends after she learned of their bullied past.
Her fellow classmates warned Horuda to stay from the delinquents. But, Horuda knew better than listening to the words of some ignorant people. Shiromi walked by to see what the group was up to. She shrugged casually and continued on her path.
“Noisy bitch,” Umeji said irritably.
“What’s wrong, Horuda?” Hokuto questioned in concern.
He noticed that the black-haired girl looked anxious, darting her eyes.
“It's…nothing…” She responded quietly.
“Like hell, it’s nothing, Horuda. Is someone else bothering you besides Ronshaku and her slutty friends?”
“….”
Horuda put her head down and stared at her shoes. She did not want to tell her delinquent friends about what’s been going on with her.
Someone’s been watching her for a while now. If Umeji and the other delinquents would to find out the identity of the watcher, they would comfort the person violently and they would be expelled from Akademi high.
Horuda was deeply confused.
Who would want to watch her? According to Musume and Kashiko, Horuda was an ugly freak. No boy would ever want to go on a date with her.
Not even Sora Sosuke, the boy that she was crushing on.
Horuda knew that she never stood a chance to have her feelings to be reciprocated by Sora as he was already dating Kashiko and he would stare at her coldly every time they would cross paths on the same corridor.
Also, Sora would go along with Kashiko’s bullying of Horuda.
However, lately, Sora hasn’t been hanging out with Kashiko. But, at this point, Horuda could care less about Sora. She has developed a little feeling towards Umeji.
Horuda felt happy when she’s around Umeji. The blond-haired boy would lead her a shoulder to cry on when she would become depressed. She thought more about Umeji than Sora.
“It’s nothing, my ass.” Hokuto disagreed.
Umeji eyed on Horuda, putting his hands inside of his blazer pocket and frowned at her. Something was definitely bothering Horuda. The black-haired girl looked terrified with her surroundings.
“Hey, head over to the cafeteria and give us food. I need to speak with Horuda in private.”
“All right, dude. Let’s go.”
Hokuto and the other delinquents obeyed and left incinerator area. Horuda sat down on the grass and leaned against the wall. She curled into a ball as Umeji sat next to her and placed his arm around her shoulder.
“Horuda, please tell me what is wrong…” Umeji said to her, quietly. “You know that I would do anything to keep you safe.”
“I have this feeling that…someone has been watching me for a while now, Umeji…,” Horuda admitted, depressingly.
“It’s probably Ronshaku and her fucking friends, Horuda.” Umeji rolled his eyes in annoyance. “Or maybe it’s Torayoshi, spying on you for those bitches for all I know.”
“No, Umeji…” Horuda raised her head and looked up at Umeji. “…The person that is watching me is a male. Miss Ruto has told me to be aware of a boy…But,” She looked away from him. “…she didn’t tell me the identity of him.”
“Well, Ruto does have an ability to sense someone’s aura…”
Oka Ruto was one of the few people that Umeji got along with in secret despite her “creepy” outer appearance. Oka was very kind to Horuda and offered her a safe haven in the coward club room because she knew that Musume, Kashiko, and the other bullies would never go near a room, full of “freaks.”
“….Umeji, there is one thing that you need to know…”
“What is it?”
“In this morning,…I found a love letter in my shoe locker…..”
“Wait, WHAT!?”
Umeji widened his eyes in shock. He was speechless. Did Horuda finally got an admirer? He paused and breathed. There was no way in hell that the love letter was genuine. The of the bullies faked the love letter out of spite towards Horuda and use the love letter idea as a practical joke.
‘Bullshit. Those bitches have something to do with the love letter. I just know it!’
“Horuda, do you still have the love letter?” Umeji regained the compose and gazed at her seriously. “So, I can take a look at it and see if I can recognize someone’s handwriting.”
Horuda nodded anxiously. She slowly took a folded paper out of her blazer pocket and give it to Umeji. He took it from her and unfolded the letter. He scanned his eyes through the letter.
“….Horuda, do you mind if I borrow this? I think I know who wrote this lame love letter to you…”
“…Sure…”

After school, Umeji went to search for the suspect of the love letter. Some students were in their clubs. Some students went home while the other ones decided to stick around on the corridors or outside of the school building. When Umeji founded his suspect, he started to rage at the person.
“Murasaki!” He shouted at the tan-skinned girl, causing her to turn around and looked at him in confusion. “We need to fucking talk!”
“About…what?” Kashiko backed away from Umeji in fear.
“Did you manipulative your fucking boyfriend into writing this love letter to Horuda as a joke!? I fucking recognize his handwriting!”
Umeji took out the love letter from his blazer pocket and showed it to Kashiko.
“…..”
Kashiko stared at Umeji. Her eyes twitched in anxiety. She did not have an idea of this love letter that Umeji was speaking of.
“Well, bitch? Answer the fucking question!” Umeji glared into her eyes, furiously.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
“Don’t bullshit me, Murasaki!”
“All right, calm down you two.”
Kashiko and Umeji paused and looked at Budo, standing there with crossed arms. Fureddo was standing by his side, gazing at the scene in concern.
“Before you two choose Murasaki’s side over mind, take a good look at this letter,” Umeji said, grudgingly.
Umeji handed over the letter to Budo. The Martial art club leader unfolded the letter and read it as Fureddo peeked at the letter over Budo’s shoulder.
“Is this a joke?” Budo frowned at Umeji in disapproval. “You could have copied Sosuke’s handwriting and tried to flame him for cheating on Miss Murasaki.”
“Fuck you,” Umeji growled at Budo and grabbed the letter from Budo, violently. “When you two are going to realize that this bitch right here is a bully.” Umeji shot a dirty glance at Fureddo who had just given him a pitying gaze. “Don’t look at me like that, Jonzu.”
“Kizuguchi, wait…” Fureddo called out to him.
But, Umeji was already gone from his sight. Budo comforted Kashiko while Fureddo excused himself and returned to his photography club. After dealing with a couple of rumors, he decided to start investigating the matters.
